Lez entered a major competition recently on behalf of Plymouth Archers while on holiday in Eire. We were all absolutely delighted when he informed us he came second in his class.

Lez is a very experienced archer who is also an NFAS and Archery GB Coach as well as an NFAS Coach Trainer.

Once again, Lez, our congratulations!

Lez's own report:

Well we set off early on June 26th 2015 for 2 weeks holidays in Ireland, and whilst there I took part in the Irish Open 3D championships, which were also a qualifying round for the world championships.

This took place on Sat/Sun 4/5th July; I had been invited by the Irish to come over and have a go.

I was placed in the Gents compound category and the course was 24 targets each day scoring 11, 10, 8,5 for which ever part of the animal kill zone you could hit, scoring 372 and 361.

I had 2 great groups for the weekend and my wife and I made many friends with the bonus of coming 2nd in my class.

We enjoyed it so much we will be returning next year.
